Privacy Policy

Effective 30 September 2026

Pursonia is a matchmaking service for verified university students. This policy explains what information we collect, why we use it, and the choices available to you.

Information we collect

How we use information

We use this information to verify eligibility, calculate compatible matches, operate chat and notifications, process match-entry entitlements, improve future recommendations, investigate reports, prevent fraud and comply with legal obligations.

Sensitive questionnaire information

Questionnaire answers are used for matching and are not displayed publicly unless Pursonia clearly tells you otherwise. Access is limited to systems and personnel who need it to operate or protect the service.

Service providers

Pursonia uses service providers including Google Firebase for authentication, database, hosting, cloud functions and notifications, and Apple or Google for in-app purchases. These providers process information under their own contractual and legal obligations.

Retention and deletion

We retain information while your account is active and as needed for safety, fraud prevention, dispute resolution and legal compliance. You can request deletion from Account → Delete account. We delete your profile and authentication account, remove your messages, and anonymise limited match records needed to preserve the other participant’s account integrity and prevent repeated pairings.

Your choices

You may update your profile, disable notification permission in device settings, block or report another member, or delete your account. For access, correction or privacy questions, contact support@pursonia.com.

Security and changes

We use access controls and server-side validation designed to protect personal information. No system is completely secure. We may update this policy as the service changes and will publish the effective date here.
